Kate and Katie are far from home, but with the trusty Vegemite as their fuel (and a few assorted beverages), they plan on leaving a little taste of Australia through Europe, as they engage in the right of passage that is travel and working abroad.

First and foremost I am missing my wife but we have been in touch and she misses me too, and assures me of her love and fidelity - phew. I am still feeling wretched - a throat like nails and lungs of sandpaper - can someone get Dr. House here please (Hugh Laurie...drool...). I sought some relief at a local pharmacy only to be offered lozenges and Vicks chest rub - well I am way past that - so I kindly declined. If anyone can wrangle the system to get me some antibiotics asap, I would be eternally grateful! Perhaps a certain employee of customs....
After a much needed sleep-in I went to the main market/shopping precinct and let me say, it is fabulous. Finally some true markets, after largely mediocre shopping in the rest of Europe. There were Jesus sandals as far as the eye could see, beads, jewellery, fabulous cheap clothes, bags, food, more Jesus sandals and souvenirs. What a way to cheer up a crook sheila!
I indulged in some more trashy mags - the only holiday reading. And I had a Greek salad for dinner at the hotel, that would be fit for Zeus himself. I started downloading pics as well but it would seem that broadband in Greece is a tad different to the Australia notion of such. It will be internet cafe styles tomorrow, as I simply cannot deal with the frustration. Katie says it is cloudy in San Seb yet they camped out at the beach all day anyway - bless their commitment.
Tomorrow it is The Acropolis etc - very excited. Maybe I might get some long awaited pics up as well, but my lovelies, don't hold your breath.
